What to expect for Owari No Seraph Season 3
Those who are interested in what happened to Yuuichiro and his friend Mikaela can pick up on the manga for ideas. However, the anime adaptation has changed a lot of things in the story, particularly the time when Yuuichiro became a full demon. In the anime, he did become a full demon but reverted back to being a human.
It’s safe to claim that for season 3, the creators will have to change what’s on manga and add some twists to the story. As fans explore the possibilities, it is important to note that patterns and storyline will be different as the creators want fans to be surprised.
According to Shonen Weekly, the creator of the anime, Takaya Kagami, has revealed that fans can expect more enemies in season 3, as bigger vampires are coming. He also mentioned an exciting new arc that will expand the scope of the story. This statement was recorded last 2016 and fans can expect more from the series because the creator and his team are working hard to bring the best new season.
In addition to the new arc, the creator also mentioned about Progenitor Council visiting other countries overseas. Following the outbreak of the virus, the fighters will have to go outside Japan to save humanity from the vampires. In addition to powerful enemies, fans can also expect epic battles. That showcase the improved skills of the fighters, especially Yuuichiro.
Why Seraph of the End season 3 is Worth the Wait
While news about Seraph of the End Season 3 is scarce, there is no need to lose hope about a new installment. After all, many popular shows have a few years between some seasons. Here are some reasons why we believe another season will be released.
Seraph of the End is adapted from a recognized manga
For manga fans, the most important reasons to wait for a season 3 is because it is adapted from a widely acclaimed manga. It was nominated for the Best Shonen Manga category in the 40th annual Manga Awards by Japanese publisher Kodansha back in 2016. It was nominated along with My Hero Academia, Noragami and Days. Unfortunately, it did not win the award.
Nevertheless, such recognition from an esteemed body is worth noting. Created by Takaya Kagami and Daisuke Furuya, with illustrations by Yamato Yamamoto. The manga series was released in Shueisha on September 2012. In just a few years, the manga was adapted into a show, garnering the attention not only of anime lovers but also of award-giving bodies and publishers such as Kodansha.
It is still running as of the present.
It has a prequel manga and light novels
After such a successful run for the original manga, it was followed up by another comic book series, titled Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose: Catastrophe at Sixteen. It was written by Takaya Kagami. Additionally, it has spawned a few light novels featuring other characters. These include Guren Ichinose: Catastrophe at Sixteen, The Story of Vampire Michaela and Guren Ichinose: World Resurrection at Nineteen.
The anime enjoyed rapid success
Upon the airing of the show, it instantly became a huge success. This is because the original manga has its own strong following even before the adaptation. These comic book fans watched their favorite manga come to life in animation. The clamor for the anime is so robust that a second season was released within the same year and was nominated for an award in the next.
Because of the demand for the show, the anime was given a few specials and original video animation (OVA), a miniseries made for home video release.
Seraph of the End has a game
Aside from appealing to manga and anime fans, the series has also appealed to gamers. Two games based on the manga has been released. The first one, titled Seraph of the End: Bloody Blades, was released by game developer Bandai Namco Entertainment in 2015 to 2016 for iOS and Android.
The second game was titled Seraph of the End: Beginning of Destiny. It was released by the same developer in 2015 for Playstation Vita console. The game is a tactics battle RPG, following different squads such as Shino Squad, Guren Squad and Narumi Squad.
